WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Athletic Conference announced their weekly athletes of the week on Monday afternoon and being recognized for Capital University were
Claire Robinson and
Freddy Noday.
Robinson was named the women's Field Athlete of the Week for track and field, while Noday was named the men's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week.
This week, Robinson finished first in the pole vault at the Ohio Wesleyan Marv Frye Invitational, clearing the bar at 3.55 meters. The height was just 0.01 meters off the current Capital record of 3.56 meters, and currently sits third best in the OAC this season. This is Robinson's first OAC Athlete of the Week award.
Noday had himself a week as he and teammate
Tyler Lieu paired to dominate the faceoff position in a pair of wins over Wilmington and Otterbein. Noday himself was 23-for-29 in faceoffs and picked up 20 ground balls – 10 in each game. This is Noday's second time receiving OAC Athlete of the Week honors.
As an athletic department, Capital has received 31 athletes of the week in 2025-26.
