COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Capital University Women's volleyball team fell to Baldwin Wallace in their second OAC match-up of the season with a final score of 3-1. With the result, Capital is now 3-12 overall and 0-2 in the OAC, while Baldwin Wallace is now 14-3 overall and 1-0 in the OAC. The first two sets went off 25-10 and 25-23 in favor of Baldwin Wallace, the third set was 26-24 in favor of Capital, and the last was won 25-21 in favor of Baldwin Wallace.
Cici Harris led the comets with 12 kills and 5 blocks.
Chloe Preocanin followed with 11 kills and 1 ace and
Abby Reed recorded 7 kills and 1 block.
Carlee Thompson and
Jasmine Easterday led the comets in assists with 15 each, and
Shy Black led in Digs with 23.
Capital dropped the first set to Baldwin Wallace 25-10, then dropped a tightly knit second set 25-23, before winning the third set 26-24 to keep the game alive and bring the crowd alive, before ultimately dropping the last set, which was also a close contest all the way.Â
Capital finished with 39 kills, 6 aces, 6 blocks, 37 assists, and 64 digs.Â
