WOOSTER, Ohio – The Capital University men's golf team concluded play at their season-opening competition at the Gatorade Collegiate hosted by Wooster at Zoar Village Golf Club. There, the Comets finished the two-round event in ninth place with a combined score of 617. Mount Union won the event with a two-round score of 593.
Capital was better off in the opening round with a 304 as a team before the team carded a 313 on day two.
Individually, Capital was led by
Keegan Billingham who carded rounds of 71 and 77 to combine for 148 and settle in seventh place overall.
Nolan Frey was next for the Comets with a T-22nd finish after scores of 77-75–152.
Aidan Isaac was the next placer for Capital, coming in T-32nd after submitting a scorecard reading 77-78–155 over the 36 holes of play.
Comet and collegiate newcomer
Tyler Caleodis made his debut on the course, finishing 53rd with rounds of 82 and 83 which combined for 165.
Logan Wycoff rounded out the play for Capital with rounds of 79 and 87 (166) to settle in T-54th position.

Capital will now set their sights on the Midwest Region Fall Classic to be held in Kansasville, Wisconsin on September 19th and 20th. The two-day event will take place at Brighton Dale Links.
