WESTERVILLE, Ohio – On Tuesday afternoon, the Ohio Athletic Conference announced Capital University sophomore
Keegan Billingham as the OAC Golfer of the Week, his second time winning the award this season.
Billingham led the Comets to a second-place finish in the Jimmy Hanlin Classic this past Sunday and Monday, shooting rounds of 71 and 76 en route to finishing T-1st overall himself. He would go on to win medalist honors after a three hole playoff with golfers from Marietta and Ohio Northern.
Billingham's weekly honor is the fourth for CU this season, splitting them evenly with teammate
Ricky Walsh at two apiece with the three previous being in the fall. It is also the 29th OAC award for Cap this academic year.
Billingham and the Purple and White will be in action at the OAC Fall Preview on Thursday at the River Greens Golf Club in West Lafayette.
