ADRIAN, Mich. – The Capital University softball team traveled to Adrian College in Michigan on Tuesday, playing a pair of games with the Bulldogs in non-conference action. The Comets dropped both games via 8-0 and 7-2 scorelines.
The pair of losses sets Capital back to 13-19 overall, while Adrian improves to 20-12 overall.
GAME ONE
The Comets were undone by the long ball in game one in which the Bulldogs hit a grand slam and a two-run home run to go with another two runs in the second to seal the win at 8-0.
At the plate, Cap recorded two hits, one each from
Reagan Irons and
Kelcie Schnitzler.
On the mound,

GAME TWO
The Comets got out the gates on top in game two as

Despite the lead, Capital fell behind 3-2 in the bottom of the first and eventually conceded to 7-2 by the end of the third.
From there, Capital could not get the bats going as only

Reagan Irons would collect hits the rest of the game.

Isabel Sayre started and threw three innings allowing seven runs on 10 hits and a walk, while
Addi Parker tossed three innings of no-hit relief. She struckout one with one walk.
