TIFFIN, Ohio – The Capital University men's basketball team ventured to Heidelberg University on Wednesday night where they faced a difficult outing, resulting in a 107-59 loss at the hands of the Student Princes.
Capital is now 6-12 overall and 3-8 in the conference, while Heidelberg is 12-6 (8-3 OAC).
The story of the game proved to be taking advantage of your opportunities as the Comets struggled to do just that all night, shooting a meager 29% from the floor and just 12.5% from deep. On the other side of the court, Heidelberg converted 54% of their shots and 38% from range.
Dom Moegerle and
Daryl Cooper led Capital with nine points each, while
Torrien Perkins (7),
Evan Dugger (5),
Matt O'Donnell (5) and
Tyson Garner (4) all scored career-highs.
Alex Eyink led the team in rebounding with seven boards, followed by Moegerle and
Justin Nixon with five each.
McKane Finkenbine had a team-best three assists.

Capital will now turn their focus to a road trip back to Northwest Ohio as they head to Ada, Ohio to take on Ohio Northern this Saturday, February 1st. Tip is slated for 3 p.m. or 30 minutes following the conclusion of the women's contest set to begin at 1:00.
