Women’s Soccer Comes Up Short at OWU

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Capital University women's soccer team (0-3-0) took the short trip to Ohio Wesleyan (3-0-0) on Wednesday night. Despite taking an early lead, the Comets would concede two second half goals and fall to the Battling Bishops 2-1.

CU's lone score came in the 29th minute following a corner taken by Bella Leonetti. Ryanne Michel got on the end of it and headed it into the back of the net to take a 1-0 advantage. OWU would respond with goals in the 61st and 86th to steal the win in the second half.

THE NUMBERS
Ryanne Michel scored her first goal of the season, the second of her career.

Bella Leonetti notched her second assist of the year.

Liv Alford (0-3-0) got the start and played the full 90 minutes in goal, making four saves.
