COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University women's soccer team (2-6-1) ended up on the wrong end of a 2-1 result to undefeated Penn State Behrend (8-2-0, 1-0-0 AMCC) on Sunday. Ball control was hard to come by on the rain soaked afternoon, with two of the three goals coming from free kicks.
Behrend would get on the board first in the third minute via a free kick goal that snuck into the bottom right corner. The Comets followed suit in the 49th minute with
Bella Leonetti sending a free kick into the box that was collected and deposited into the net by
Grace Estes. Unfortunately for CU, the Lions would score the deciding goal in the 63rd minute off of a breakaway, leading to the 2-1 result.
