COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University women's soccer team (3-7-3, 1-1-2 OAC) hosted Marietta (5-5-3, 1-2-1 OAC) on Wednesday night in what would end up being a scoreless draw.
The Comets sent forth plenty of chances but all would fall short. The closest was a shot from
Nicole Ogden in the 74th minute against a nearly empty net that would hit the left post and bounce along the goalline into the hands of the recovered keeper.
All-in-all, Cap put up 16 attempts, seven of which were on target with all seven being saved. Ogden,
Avery Hart,
Grace Estes and
Kendra Kovacs led the efforts with three shots each. Kovacs had the highest on-goal percentage of the group with 2-of-3 finding their mark.
Liv Alford (2-6-3) faced six shots during her 90 minutes in the goal, making two saves.
