CINCINNATI, Ohio – The Capital University men's golf team went head-to-head with Otterbein University today at Heritage Golf Club in Cincinnati in the Battle for the Oar. There, Otterbein emerged with a 7.5-4.5 victory in the Ryder Cup style event. 

Along with battling the Cardinals, Capital paid homage to their four seniors – Angelo Donato, Colin Frimel, Vince Daher, and Shane Murphy. 

In the head-to-head battles, the Comet wins came from Ryan Murphy, Adam Murphy, Ricky Walhs and Vince Daher. Ryan defeated Nathan Brown 3&2, Adam knocked off Colin Bibler 7&6, Walsh defeated Ethan Johnson 1 up and Vince Daher was ahead 2 up to defeat Coury Rogers. 

The other half a point came as Colin Frimel finished deadlocked with Cam Uhl. 

Otterbein took their seven wins in the following order…

The Comets next contest will be the Caschera Classic on Monday, April 17th. The event will be Capital's final tune-up for the OAC Championships.
