TIFFIN, Ohio – The Capital University women's soccer team (10-6-2, 5-2-1 OAC) traveled to Heidelberg (5-9-2, 2-6-0 OAC) on Wednesday afternoon. The Comets would lean on two early goals from
Lexi Snider to walk away with a 2-1 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The game got underway quickly with all three goals being scored in the first half. Capital took an early 2-0 lead thanks to two quickfire goals from
Lexi Snider in the 19th and 20th minutes, just 1:30 apart. The first came off of an assist by
Grace Estes who found Snider in space, setting up an easy shot to beat the keeper. Next it was
Nicole Ogden finding Snider on the run, with Snider winning a one-on-one matchup with the keeper in the end.
Heidelberg had an answer in the 40th minute, but the two sides remained scoreless for the final 50 minutes and the match would end with Capital ahead, 2-1.
