Men’s Golf in Strong Position after Day One of Battle at Belterra

FLORENCE, Ind. – The Capital University men's golf team hit the links for real this time on Sunday at the Battle at Belterra hosted by Hanover College at Belterra Resort. After day one, the Comets sit tied for third amongst the twelve competing teams. 

Capital senior Angelo Donato (2nd) had a remarkable opening round, shooting 69 over the first 18 holes and leading the way for the Comets. The round puts Donato tied for third lowest in Cap history.

CU's next best shooter was Vince Daher. His 76 on the day leaves him tied for 11th overall.

Andrew Simpson and Adam Czerniakowski followed closely behind, shooting 79 each. The round score leaves them both tied for 27th.

Rounding out the Capital lineup was Ben Satterthwaite. His 80 on the day puts him tied for 32nd.

The Comets will return for day two action tomorrow.
