AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – On Monday afternoon, the Ohio Athletic Conference announced its weekly lacrosse award winners. Graduate student Ben Houser was named the Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week following a successful outing against Marietta College.

Houser, a native of Hilliard, Ohio, earned his first weekly award as a member of the Cap men's lacrosse team. In last Saturday's win over Marietta, Houser limited the Pioneers to just two goals in 60 minutes of play. He faced 30 shots, 12 of which landed on frame, and made 10 saves as part of the victory. He also collected two ground balls. Capital defeated the Pioneers, 14-2, to improve to 2-0 on the season.

Capital will take its unblemished record into battle this Saturday, March 13, when the Crusaders welcome John Carroll University to Bernlohr Stadium. Live stats and video will be made available.
