Capital University's women's soccer team continues to roll through its Ohio Athletic Conference schedule as it grabbed its eighth conference victory, this time against the Heidelberg University Student Princes.

Following a scoreless first period, Capital (12-4, 8-0 OAC) recorded the match's only goal when senior midfielder Mariah Richards (Canton, Ohio) scored on a header, following a corner kick from junior Claire Quinn (Coto de Caza, Calif.). The goal was Richards' third of the season.

The Crusaders' aggressive attack led to Capital dominating the stat sheet, holding advantages in shots (24-4), shots on goal (15-3), and corner kicks (12-0).

With Capital on the attack, Heidelberg (8-10, 3-5 OAC) managed to tally more saves than Capital with 14.

Capital's defense made things easy for senior Kim Leitch (Rocky River, Ohio) as she faced only four shots. Leitch manned the goal all 90 minutes, earning the win. Her record improves to 8-1 on the season.

The Crusaders will look to finish the regular season undefeated in conference play at Baldwin Wallace (9-4-5, 3-1-3 OAC) on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7 p.m.
