The 2021 fall season marks the first for Heather Bailes as an assistant volleyball coach at Capital University.
Bailes has an extensive history coaching at the high school, club, and collegiate levels that will prove valuable for head coach Nikki Van Cleave's staff.
At the high school level Bailes as served as assistant coaches at Keystone, St. Joseph Academy, Aurora, and Valley Forge all within the greater Cleveland area. On the club circuit, Bailes currently serves as a National Team Coach and Operations Coordinator for Mintonette Sports. Prior to joining Mintonette, she spent time working with Maverick Volleyball, Eastside Cleveland Juniors, and Academy Volleyball Cleveland. Bailes also got her feet wet coaching in the collegiate realm by serving as an assistant coach at Ohio Christian University for the previous three seasons.
