Avery Hart is entering her second season as an assistant coach for both Capital women's lacrosse and women's soccer in the 2026-27 school year.
Hart was an accomplished three-sport student-athlete at Capital University having competed in soccer, lacrosse and indoor track & field. Hart's career as a Comet student-athlete was one filled with recognition as she was an integral member of multiple NCAA tournament team appearances -- one each with lacrosse and soccer in 2022. On the soccer field, Hart was a second team All-American, OAC Forward of the Year, OAC Freshman of the Year, a four-time All-OAC recipient, and a two-time All-Region player. On the lacrosse field, Hart was named All-OAC honorable mention during her final season. During her one season on the indoor track and field team, Hart competed in pole vault for Capital where her vault of 3.05 meters remains the eighth best in school history indoors.
Among her quality play on the field was Hart's sound ability in the classroom as the standout was named Academic All-Conference multiple times across her three sports. Hart's academic honors were extended beyond the conference as she was a multi-time recipient of CSC Academic All-District honors as well. Her combined work across her career resulted in her being named Capital's recipient of the OAC Clyde Lamb Award.
Hart, who is a native of nearby Pickerington, Ohio, is a two-time graduate of Capital as she has also completed her MBA here in Bexley.
