2015: Named Second Team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association … selected First Team All-OAC, Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Year and First Team All-Central Region … three-time winner of Ohio Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week … started all 42 games for the Crusaders … recorded 61 hits (second on the team) on 133 attempts for a batting average .459 (team-best) … batted in a team-high 72 runs, scoring 34 herself … send 10 hits over the fence (tied for first on the team) … registered a team-high 17 doubles and three triples, earning a slugging percentage of .857 … tied for the most walks on the team with 15 for an on-base percentage of .513 … led the team in sacrifice flies with five … recorded 48 put-outs on the year …. Went 5-for-5 with two doubles and a triple against Lyndon St. on Feb. 23, scoring twice and batting in eight runs … hit a triple in a 2-for-3 effort on Feb. 24 against Hanover … hit 2-for-3 with a home run and three runs batted in against Hanover on Feb. 26 in a 9-8 victory … recorded three hits with two RBIs and two runs scored in the triumph over Houghton on Feb. 27 … batted in five runs on and scored three runs while sending two over the fence, helping the Crusaders to a 14-8 win over Ursinus on March 14 … tripled and doubled in a two RBI effort in the 10-0 shutout of Baldwin Wallace on March 21 …doubled twice in the loss to Otterbein on March 30 … homered and hit two doubles with six RBIs as Capital mercy-ruled Otterbein 13-0 on March 30, avenging their loss in the first game … went 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs batted in, a scored run, and a walk in Capital’s second win of the day against Muskingum on March 31 … doubled and drove in three runs, scoring one herself in the victory at Wilmington on April 6 … posted three hits (including a double), driving in four runs on April 11 against Mount Union in an11-3 win … doubled with two total hits, scoring twice and driving in three at Marietta on April 15 … posted three hits, including a home run and a double, driving in five runs in the consecutive win over Marietta on April 15 … hit one over the fence for two RBIs and scored twice, helping the Crusaders to a 12-5 final over Bethany on April 16 … homered with two RBIs and walked in the 9-0 second victory of the day at Bethany on April 16 … hit a three-run blast over the fence and a sacrifice fly on April 18 in the 10-4 victory over John Carroll … posted two hits and two RBIs against Ohio Northern for the 10-2 win in the second game on April 26 … drove in all six runs with a homer and two other hits in Capital’s first contest in the OAC Tournament against Ohio Northern on May 1 

2014: Honorable mention All-Ohio Athletic Conference … winner of the university''s Legacy Scholarship Award for academic achievement and participation in extracurricular activities by a student with ancestral legacy at Capital University ... one of three players on the team to start all 40 games … batted .357 (46-of-129) with 17 runs scored … finished 10th in the OAC in hits (46) and total bases (75) … led team and ranked fifth in the league in runs batted in (32) … placed second on the team with eight doubles … led team and ranked sixth in the conference with seven home runs … led team and ranked 10th in the OAC in slugging percentage (.581) … drew eight walks … finished fifth in the conference in sacrifice flies (2) and sacrifice hits (8) … stole two bases … recorded 21 putouts and four fielding assists … led team with nine multiple-RBI games … tied for second on the team with 12 multi-hit contests … was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate in Capital’s 4-3 triumph over Michigan-Dearborn on Feb. 25 in Clermont, Fla. … finished 4-for-4 with a home run, four runs scored and four RBIs in the Crusaders’ record-setting 32-1 victory over Johnson St. (Vt.) on Feb. 28 in Clermont, Fla. … totaled three hits, including a solo home run, in Capital’s 12-8 win over New Paltz St. (N.Y.) on March 15 in Salisbury, Md. … registered four hits, including two home runs, and knocked in four runs in the Crusaders’ doubleheader split at Transylvania (Ky) on March 20 … finished 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs in Capital’s 12-5 triumph at Otterbein on March 31 … tallied three hits and plated a season-high five runs in the Crusaders’ 8-6 victory at Denison on April 10 … closed the season with four hits, one run scored and three RBIs in Capital’s doubleheader at Ohio Northern on April 26

 

2013: Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference … played in 45 games, all starts, in left field … ranked seventh in the OAC in both home runs (8) and runs batted in (34) … hit .306 with six doubles … scored 26 runs … drew eight walks … recorded six sacrifice hits … did not record an error in the outfield … preserved the Crusaders’ 7-6 victory at Muskingum on April 13 by throwing out a runner at the plate with two outs in the bottom of the seventh … tallied one hit and one RBI in each of her last five games of the season, including a solo homer in Capital’s 5-1 victory over Thomas More (Ky.) in the team’s first NCAA Division III Tournament game on May 9 in Angola, Ind. … totaled eight multiple-RBI games, including a season-high four knocked in during the Crusaders’ 10-2 victory at Bethany on April 21

2012: Appeared in 29 games…fifth on the team with 3 homeruns...was named an All-American Scholar-Athlete by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). 

Personal: Parents are Karen Cotton & JW Cotton … majoring in nursing … also a member of the Capital University volleyball team … played for coach Todd Jones at Okeechobee (Fla.) High School, where she also participated in softball and soccer … aspires to be a nurse … hobby is reading … looking forward to meeting new people and excelling in both sports and academics at Capital
