Madi McCrady

Madi McCrady is in her first season on the coaching staff for Capital softball in the 2023-24 academic year. She will primarily work with the pitchers while also assisting the program in other areas.

McCrady built her resume as a NCAA Division I player at Ohio University where she pitched for four seasons. There, McCrady was a two-time Academic All-MAC student-athlete. Notably in her time as a pitcher for the Bobcats, McCrady was the winning pitcher in Ohio's 7-3 win over James Madison in the NCAA Knoxville Regional during the 2018 season. In that game, McCrady hurled four innings of work while allowing just three hits and no runs.

In addition to her playing experience, McCrady has worked for more than six years as a private softball skills instructor.

McCrady is a native of Brimfield, Ohio and holds a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Coaching Education from Ohio. She also holds a Master's Degree in Reading Education from OU.Â
