Capital University Men’s Basketball welcomed Nick Felhaber to the staff as an assistant coach following the 2018-19 season. Entering his second year, Felhaber will primarily serve as a scout and prepare and execute practice plans for the Crusaders.

In his first year with the Crusaders, Felhaber helped bring in one of the largest incoming first-year classes and began grooming the Class of 2023 to become major contributors in the rotation. Sophomore Tyler Schreck earned Second Team All-OAC laurels. In 2019-20, the class of first-years tallied 123 games played, six starts and 391 points (15.0 ppg). Griffin Doseck led the class with 6.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Felhaber spent two years (2017-19) working with The Hoop Group, one of the premiere Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) programs in the United States based out of Neptune, N.J. There, he began as the director of external partnerships and was later promoted to the director of recruiting.

Prior to working with The Hoop Group, Felhaber was the head coach of the New Jersey Shoreshots 15U team and the assistant coach of the 17U team. He was responsible for recruiting talent primarily from the New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania areas.

Felhaber is a 2015 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University where he played and captained the Battling Bishops men’s basketball team. At OWU, Felhaber earned Honorable Mention All-NCAC honors and his senior class graduated with the most wins in school history. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in management economics. He is completing his master’s degree through Ball State University (Ind.) in athletic coaching education and is set to finish this summer. He also holds a USA Basketball Gold Coaching License.

He is recently married to his wife, Samantha.
