Evan Nunez

Evan Nunez enters his fourth season on staff at Capital University in 2025. He coached his first three seasons with the Purple and White from 2021 to 2023.

Nunez, who comes to Capital from Las Vegas, has prior experience at both the collegiate and high school ranks. He had two stints at Eldorado High School in Las Vegas. In his first time there, he served as Associate Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers coach. In his return, Nunez was the team's Head Coach, Defensive Coordinator, Secondary Coach and Travel Coordinator.

In between stints at Eldorado, Nunez was on staff as the Co-Defensive Coordinator, Secondary Coach, Camp Director, Equipment Manager and Academic Liaison for Trinity International University in Illinois. There, he coached three safeties to the NAIA All-Star Game and coached a safety to All-Conference and All-American honors. 

Before his first time at Eldorado, Nunez was the Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach at University High School in San Diego from 2015-2017. 

Nunez received his education from Ashford University in San Diego and Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. He currently resides in Reynoldsburg with his wife, Chelsie, and four kids -- Evan, Nehemiah, Desiree, Sienna.
