D.L. Knock makes the jump to Capital University after most recently working as the wide receivers coach and special teams coordinator at Alderson Broaddus University. There, Knock oversaw the team’s equipment operations and was an academic advisor for his position group. He also coached a freshman to All-Conference honors in 2022. 

Prior to joining AB, Knock was the wide receivers coach and pass game/special teams coordinator at Waynesburg University. Prior to working on the offensive side of the ball, Knock spent the 2020 season coaching linebackers for Waynesburg. Knock was an academic advisor for his position group and helped organize and run the team’s weight training program. 

As a collegiate player, Knock played his red shirt year at West Virginia University in 2015 prior to playing the final four years of his career at Ohio University. With WVU, Knock was a member of the 2015 Cactus Bowl Champion team. At OU, Knock was an All-Conference selection and helped the team to the 2016 MAC Championship and Dollar General Bowl Championship. Additionally, Knock helped the Bobcats to trophies in the 2017 Bahamas Bowl, 2018 Frisco Bowl, and 2020 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl. 

Knock played his high school ball at Springboro High School where he was a 2023 Hall of Fame inductee. He helped his team to a 28-2 regular season record during his tenure and was an All-State selection and team captain.
