Charles Gibson enters his first season as an assistant football coach at Capital in 2026. Gibson has coached at various levels, from being a high school head coach to being an assistant coach at the NCAA Division II and III levels.
As a collegiate player, Gibson played his redshirt year at Kent State University, prior to playing the final four years of his career at Capital University. With CU, Gibson was an All-Conference selection and helped the team to the 1987 OAC Championship and the NCAA Division III playoffs for the first time in school history.
Gibson played his high school ball at Marion Franklin High School and was an All-Conference selection.
