Charles Alexander will begin his first season on the Comets' coaching staff in 2024. He will serve as the Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs coach.
Alexander arrives back in Columbus with 20 years of collegiate coaching experience. He most recently served as the Defensive Coordinator at Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. There, Alexander helped the program improve statistically in many key categories within their conference while also coaching one All-Conference player.
Prior to Morehouse, Alexander held coaching positions at Avila University, Ellsworth Community College, Missouri Southern State University, East Stroudsburg University, Lehigh University, Gettysburg College, Villanova University and Clarion University. His time as an assistant coach was highlighted by earning the Assistant Coach of the Year award in 2022 from the KCAC conference – a year in which he aided Avila to their second conference championship.
