Andrew Phillips will enter his first season at Capital University in the fall of 2021. Phillips will serve as the inside linebackers coach under Brian Foos' staff.
Phillips, who is currently an Intervention Specialist at Westerville High School, will begin work in the college environment or the first time after serving the past 20 years at the high school level. Phillips was most recently the head football coach for Linden McKinley High School. Prior to his head coaching role, Phillips was the defensive coordinator for Olentangy, Westerville North, Harvest prep, and Lakewood High Schools. In addition to his time at Harvest Prep and Lakewood, Phillips was the Assistant Head Coach. Prior to his defensive coordinator roles, Phillips serves on the staffs at Northridge and Millersport High Schools.
In addition to his experience coaching at the high school level, Phillips was selected to staff the Nike Football Camp as well as the NUC Ultimate 100 Top Prospect Camp for three years.
Phillips holds a Bachelor's of Science in Sport and Exercise Studies from California University of Pennsylvania. He also holds an Associate's degree from Columbus State.
