Jeff Marietta, the newest member to the Comets' coaching staff, joined the program in 2024. He will serve as the bullpen coach. As a part of his duties, Marietta will manage all aspects of bullpen, including but not limited to, scheduling bullpen practice sessions, pre-game preparation, the bullpens' game management, and communications with the pitching coach and pitching coordinator.
With nearly 30-years of coaching experience, Marietta is highly regarded for his analytical and technical skills with regard to biomechanics. Armed with the necessary technology, Marietta is able to 'dissect, diagnose and dispense' areas of opportunity for the Comets' pitchers to improve upon their baseline skills.
Marietta lives in Newark, OH with his wife of 44-years, Kathy. They have four children and 12 grandchildren.
