WESTERVILLE, Ohio – On Monday afternoon, Capital men's soccer collected another Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Athlete of the Week recognition, with junior goalkeeper Noah Thomas earning his second Defensive Player of the Week award of the season and third of his career after going 1-1 in the net against two strong offensive teams this past week.

In Wednesday night's 2-0 win over Ohio Wesleyan, Thomas led the defense with five saves on 16 shots while also helping defend against five corner kicks from OWU.

In the tight 1-0 loss to Wooster, Thomas remained solid in the net, totaling seven saves on 17 shots, eight of which were on goal.

Through the first seven games of the season, Thomas has allowed just six goals while collecting 39 saves and posting an .867 save percentage on 97 shots. He currently holds a 4-2-1 record in the net.

Entering this week, Thomas and the men's soccer team will take on one more non-conference opponent, traveling to Pittsburgh, Pa., to face Carnegie Mellon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Comets will then open Ohio Athletic Conference play against Baldwin Wallace on Saturday, October 3, in Berea, Ohio, with kickoff set for 1 p.m.
