COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University volleyball team fell to Muskingum University in their first OAC contest of the season by a final score of 3-0. With the result, Capital is now 3-10 overall and 0-1 in the OAC, while Muskingum is now 12-3 overall and 1-0 in the conference. Muskingum won the sets in order, 25-15, 25-18, 25-16.
Capital was led offensively by
Cici Harris and
Ava Knight who each landed six kills. Harris's six came without error on 15 attempts for a .400 attack percentage.
Carlee Thompson was the leading setter with 11 assists.
In the backrow, Knight led the team with seven digs and Thompson,
Shy Black, and
Afaf Smidi each had six digs.
Up at the net, Harris led the way with three blocks, while
Abby Reed and
Chloe Preocanin each had one.
At the service line, Preocanin led the way with one ace.
