WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Capital football landed a member on the Ohio Athletic Conference's Athlete of the Week recognition Monday afternoon, as freshman kicker
Jensen Petro was named the OAC Special Teams Player of the Week following his performance in the Comets' 44-19 victory over Wilmington on Saturday.
In his first game inside Bernlohr Stadium, Petro connected on his first career field goal, converting a 34-yarder. He finished the game a perfect 1-for-1 on field-goal attempts and also recorded seven kickoffs for 406 yards, averaging 58.0 yards per kickoff. Petro also converted four PATs, contributing four points.
The weekly honor marks the first OAC award of Petro's career.
