Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Men’s Lacrosse Falls at Ohio Northern

ADA, Ohio – The Capital University men's lacrosse team traveled to Ohio Northern on Saturday afternoon where they would eventually fall by a final score of 11-4. With the loss, Capital slips to 2-5 overall and 0-1 in the OAC, while ONU moves to 4-5 and 1-0 in the conference.

After ONU scored the game's opening goal, Aiden Evans tied the game at 1-1 at the 10:46 mark of the first quarter off a feed from Jess Lipp. Despite the level score, ONU scored the next three goals of the game to go up 4-1.

At the 8:08 mark of the second quarter, Lipp would find the back of the net himself, making it 4-2 on an unassisted goal.

Again, ONU would score the next two, but Lipp scored his second of the game at 11:21 left in the third to make the score 6-3.

After another Polar Bear tally, Lipp completed his hat trick on a man-up goal with 5:29 remaining in the third to cut it to 7-4. That goal came off a feed from Evans.

Unfortunately for Capital, Ohio Northern would lock up their defense over the final 20 minutes of play and score four more to defend their home field with a 11-4 win.
