COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Capital University women's lacrosse team was back in action on Wednesday, Mar. 18 for a non-conference match-up with Adrian. On a cold and windy evening, the Comets would fall by a score of 20-8. With the result, Capital falls to 3-4 on the season. Meanwhile, Adrian rises to 5-1 to begin their season.
The story in this one would be the fast start from the Bulldogs, as they would come out firing on all cylinders offensively. After the first quarter of play, the Comets would find themselves in a 8-1 hole.
The Comets' defense would dig in during the second quarter of action, limiting Adrian to just two goals.
Capital would add three goals in both the third and fourth quarters, but the early push from Adrian proved to be too much, as the game would end with a 20-8 final.

Leah Leno, who had a team-high six goals on just nine shot attempts. She would add three draw controls to end her night.
Recording a team-high two assists would be
Heather Stoner, also picking up one goal.
Sydney Norch would be responsible for the lone remaining goal for the Comets.
In the cage,
Brooke Burchfield tied her season-high for saves with 14.
