WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Ohio Athletic Conference announced the winter 2025-26 Academic All-Conference selections on Wednesday, March 11th. Featured on the list were six Capital University student-athletes – five from women's basketball and one from men's basketball. 

Representing the women's basketball were senior Samaree Perkins, juniors Tahirah Ellis, Olivia Rouser, and Kendall Spreen, and sophomore Kya Jordan. Perkins is now a three-time recipient of the award, while Ellis, Rouser and Spreen are all second-time honorees. Jordan is a first-time recipient. 

For the men's basketball program, sophomore Cade Davies earned the distinction for the first time in his career. 

To be eligible for Academic All-Conference, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, be of sophomore status both academically and athletically, and be of varsity status.
