Men’s Lacrosse Suffers Loss at Centre

DANVILLE, Ky. – The Capital University men's lacrosse team (2-4, 0-0 OAC) traveled to Kentucky for afternoon matchup with Centre (5-4, 0-0 SAA) on Sunday. The Comets would unfortunately end up on the wrong side of a lopsided score, 16-3.

CU's offense – plagued by turnovers and a poor on-goal percentage– struggled to score all game, only getting one goal in the first half coming from Ty Chase in the first quarter. On the other end, Centre put up three in the first and six in the second to take a 9-1 lead into halftime.

The Purple and White's woes would continue in the second half, only scoring two – both by Chase, completing his hat trick – in the third quarter and being shut out in the fourth quarter. Centre's offense scored six times again in the third and once more in the fourth to bring the final score to 16-3.

THE NUMBERS
Ty Chase scored all three goals for the Comets unassisted, giving him the team's only points of the day.
