COLUMBUS, Ohio - Capital University men's basketball hosted Muskingum in their first conference matchup of the season. The Comets had a slow start to the game, allowing the Muskies to pull away. Despite a solid second half effort, Capital fell short to the Muskies 95-78.

The loss makes the Comets 4-3 and 0-1 in OAC conference play. Winning makes Muskingum 7-0 and 1-0 in the OAC.

Capital started off aggressive on both ends of the floor, but were unable to manufacture many points. A slow first half on both ends allowed Muskingum to take the lead, a lead that they would comfortably keep into the half with a score of 48-29.

The Comets were able to make some meaningful adjustments, having much more success offensively shooting an efficient 63.3% from the field and 50% from three. Despite winning the second half out-scoring the Muskies 49-47, it wasn't enough to take back the lead. The final score was 95-78 with Muskingum on top.

The Numbers
McKane Finkenbine led the team in scoring, assists, and steals with 16 points, three assists and a career high six steals.

Julian Mitchell led the Comets in rebounding with five. He also contributed to Capital's offensive effort with 10 points.

Dallas Tucker scored 14 points - all in the second half. He was co-leader in assists with three.

Se'Ron Calloway-White scored 14 points on an efficient 6-9 from the field.
Torrien Perkins finished the game with nine points.
