COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University women's tennis team got their second straight win on Thursday afternoon at home against Earlham at Scarborough East Tennis Club, taking the match by a score of 5-2.
DOUBLES
The Purple and White would earn their first point of the day after going 2-1 in doubles. The pairs of
Anna Fletcher and
Nicole Flock, and
Annika Hansen and
Jenny Rollins would go down as the winners on the day, with Fletcher and Flock winning 6-4 while Hansen and Rollins rolled to a 6-1 win.
Kylee Fliter and
Kamrie Simon came up short, 3-6.
SINGLES
Cap kept at it with four wins in the singles session to secure the overall victory, 5-2. Flock (6-1, 6-0), Hansen (7-5, 6-2), Rollins (6-2, 7-5), and
Ashlyn Edwards (6-4, 6-2) all ended up on the winning side. Fletcher (4-6, 0-3) and Fliter (5-7, 4-6) fell short.
