Men’s Soccer Suffers Lopsided Loss at OWU

DELAWARE, Ohio – The Capital University men's soccer team (1-5-3) took the short trip north to Delaware to face off with Ohio Wesleyan (5-3-1) on Wednesday night in a game that would leave the Comets on the wrong end of a lopsided result, 5-0 in favor of the hosts.

CU was able to scrape together a few chances, firing off nine shots with four on target, but this paled in comparison to the 29 from the other side with 15 finding their mark and five ending up in the back of the net. OWU would put up goals in the 9th, 48th, 73rd, 79th, and 81st to ride away with the win.

Ethan Ogden (1-4-2) made a career-high eight saves during his 85 minutes in goal. Noah Thomas came in to play the final five, making two saves.

UP NEXT
The Comets head into their conference schedule next, starting OAC play with Baldwin Wallace at Bernlohr on October 5th. That game is set to get going at 7:00 p.m.
