Men’s Soccer Held Scoreless at Wittenberg

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Capital University men's soccer team (0-3-3) headed southwest on Saturday for a match with Wittenberg (2-2-1). The Comets will have to wait just a little longer for their first win of the season after being unable to score against the Tigers and ultimately falling 1-0. Wittenberg's only goal came in the 23rd minute.

CU struggled to get good chances in the first half, only taking two shots as opposed to eight from the other side. Both teams would take five attempts in the second half, but the Purple and White were unable to draw even. Overall, Cap put four shots on goal and Wittenberg tallied six.

Christian Monzalvo had the highest volume of attempts, taking three that all fell offline. Jacob Deever, Tony Epstein, Josiah Campbell, and Jacob Reppetto each put their only shot on goal.
Ethan Ogden (0-2-2) played the full 90 minutes, making four saves.
