COLUMBUS, Ohio - With America's Pastime at the halfway mark for the 2024 season, it didn't stop the stars from shining at Huntington Park, the home of the Cleveland Guardians' AAA affiliate, Columbus Clippers. Capital University baseball alum Jedd Stucky, Brian Klein and Jeff 'Shocker' Noble were invited by the Clippers to take batting practice at Huntington Park, and partake they did...and they did not disappoint!
Stucky, Klein and Noble are all etched in the baseball record books at Capital. Stucky for home runs (1981) , Klein for the lowest ERA (0.79) in the history of the baseball program (1979) and Noble has a place in 'the books' for doubles (1979). In turning the pages in the record book, Stucky was also named to the 1981 Academic All-American Team, and Noble was recognized twice, being name to the ALL- Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) team.
Those in attendance said it didn't take the former Capital baseball stars long to shine, as all three unleashed rockets to all fields. One thing is certain...Jedd Stucky, Brian Klein and Jeff Noble can still swing it!
