COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University women's tennis team (3-7, 1-4 OAC) celebrated senior day on Saturday with a special pre-match ceremony for seniors Rachel Smith and Amy Wright-Lovell before the team took on Ohio Northern (14-5, 3-1 OAC). 

The Comets would come up short on the day, falling 9-0.

The day started off slow as CU slipped in all three doubles matches. The pairs of Smith with Annika Hansen and Anna Fletcher with Nicole Flock both endured losses of 8-2. Wright-Lovell and Jenny Rollins lost 8-0.

The Purple and White would suffer the same fate in the singles matches, dropping all six. Fletcher fell at 6-2, 6-0, followed by Flock at 6-0, 6-1, Hansen at 6-1, 6-2, Wright-Lovell at 6-1, 6-1, Smith at 6-2, 6-3, and finally Rollins at 6-1, 6-0.
