UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Capital University men's lacrosse team (5-8, 4-2 OAC) traveled to John Carroll (6-4 5-1 OAC) on Saturday afternoon, ultimately losing a low-scoring struggle, 8-3.
The Comets started slow and would never really get their offense going, getting just one goal each in the first three quarters and being held scoreless in the fourth. On the other side, JCU scored four in the first half and four in the second half to make it an 8-3 final.
Mason Spaulding was responsible for the first two for CU, with
Jacob Poole picking up the third.
THE NUMBERS
Mason Spaulding scored two goals for two points, also grabbing one ground ball.
Jacob Poole put in one goal for one point, grabbing a ground ball as well.
Ty Chase chalked up a point on an assist, with one caused turnover and one ground ball.
Eric Patterson picked up a career-high eight ground balls along with one caused turnover.
Tyler Lieu went 5-for-7 on faceoffs, securing one ground ball.
Freddy Noday was 4-of-8 with one ground ball as well.
