WESTERVILLE, Ohio – On Wednesday morning, the Ohio Athletic Conference announced the selections of 27 Capital University student-athletes for Academic All-Conference based on their performance in the classroom.
To be eligible for this award, students must be of varsity standing, a sophomore or higher in school, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.495 or higher, and not have won the award three times in their particular sport.
Representing the 27 student-athletes this fall were a wide variety of selections – 10 from women's soccer, six from both men's soccer and volleyball, two from each men's and women's cross country and one from football.
Compiling the selections for women's soccer were seniors

Haley Moore, juniors
Grace Estes,
Shelby Jackson,
Francesca Longano, and
Catherine Zugaro and sophomores
Abbie Bergert,
Lizzie Elliott,
Charlotte Greenberg and
Mya Swearengin.
Representing men's soccer were senior
Jack Francisco, juniors
Keegan Reese,
Brennan Hesse,
Colin McComb, and
Colton Daugherty, and sophomore
Samuel Yocum.
Making up the selections from volleyball were seniors
Lindsay Rich and
Michaela Recker, juniors
Larissa Smith and
Delaney Conger and sophomores
Ryann Bunyak and
Samaree Perkins.
Earning the award from cross country were
Donovan Slattery and
Nick Stuck for the men and
Elizabeth Mak and
Hannah Welly for the women.
The representative for football was junior
Dominic Arriaga.
