COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Capital University men's basketball team defeated Adrian College 87-74 on Saturday afternoon, improving to 5-0 to start the season for the first time since the 2008-09 season when the team started 6-0 that season.

On the other end of the floor, Capital's
Alex Eyink led the Comets with 18 points on 6-for-11 shooting and an even 3-for-3 at the free throw line. He added in three boards, four assists, a block and a steal to his performance.
Also leading the way was a duo of 15-point efforts from
McKane Finkenbine and
Baden Forup. Finkenbine tacked on four rebounds, five assists and three steals to his showing, while Forup added six rebounds, an assist and a block.
Also hitting double figures for the game were
Justin Nixon (13 points) and
Carter Combs (12 points). Nixon put together a double-double, finishing with a game-high 10 rebounds. He also had a steal. Combs contributed five assists, three rebounds and four steals to his showing.
Capital welcomed back

Others to put up points included
Ryan Suever (six points),
Nate Gerber (two points) and
Luke Kuhlman (two points).
Career debuts were made by several Comets as
