WESTERVILLE, Ohio – On Monday morning, the Ohio Athletic Conference announced the football athletes of the week for week two. Capital's
Tyler Terrell was recognized on the special teams for his punting/kicking contributions in the Comets' most recent game against Ohio Northern.
Terrell scored seven of Cap's 13 points in the game. In the first half, he knocked down two field goals from 25 and 24 yards. These two made field goals surpassed Capital's number for the entirety of 2021. The 13th and final point came when Terrell nailed a PAT following
Louie Hoersten's pick six just minutes into the second half.
In his punting duties, Terrell booted the ball six times for a total of 218 yards. His longest was 45 yards and he averaged 36.3 yards per punt. Terrell also dropped one of his punts inside the 20 yard line.
On the kickoff, Terrell had three kicks for a total of 182 yards.
Terrell, a native of Grove City, Ohio, will quite literally kickoff Capital's next game against Muskingum in New Concord on September 17th at 7:00 P.M.
