WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Capital University men's tennis team competed at Otterbein University on Sunday morning, only to be on the wrong side of a 9-0 scoreline.
Many members of the team had good showings, but ultimately fell in consecutive sets to the Cardinals.
Leonardo Abreu and
Alex Stout fell at first doubles, 8-4.
Spencer Surles and
Colin Welch lost second doubles 8-1.
Jesse Stevens and
Aaron Askew lost 8-5 at third doubles.
In singles action, Abreu fell 6-0, 6-1, Stout was sat down 6-0, 6-2, Surles fell 6-4, 6-2, Welch lost 6-0, 6-1, Stevens fell 6-0, 6-3, and Askew was on the losing end of 6-1, 6-0 decisions.
Capital's next match will take place on Wednesday, April 20th at Wolfe Park in Columbus as the Comets host Anderson University at 11 a.m.
