The Comets (3-1, 1-0 OAC)defeated the Purple Raiders by a healthy margin but saw three matches go into overtime to decide them, making the results a lot closer than they appeared.

Compiling the scoring for Capital in doubles were the duos of Kelli Wright-Lovell and Nicole Flock (9-7 winners), Anna Fletcher and Josie Nichols (8-4 winners), and Abigail Hornacek and Amy Wright-Lovell (8-2 winners).

In singles competition, Anna Fletcher, Nicole Flock, Kylee Fliter, Josie Nichols, and Karen Kanke all won their battles, while Kelli Wright-Lovell was on the wrong end of a tiebreaking third set match-up at first singles.
