The loss knocks Capital back to 8-11 overall and 0-2 in the OAC, while Wilmington improves to 8-12 on the year and 1-1 in conference play.

The first set went the way of the Quakers by a score of 25-16. The hosts benefited from a far superior .244 hitting percentage on 15 kills and five errors, compared to Capital's .000 success rate on eight kills and errors each in the set.

Wilmington's efficient offense continued in the second set as they won it 25-15 off the heels of 13 more kills compared to just four errors this time.

In the third set, the Comets definitely began to put the ball away, picking up 14 kills in the set, but on the opposite side of the net, Wilmington hit their most efficient set yet by landing 12 kills and no errors for a .286 percentage. In the end, the Quakers took the set 25-18.
