Hamby's four kills came on just 10 swings, and the middle hitter failed to commit an error, accounting for a solid .400 hitting percentage. LaPointe's 13 kills came on a respectable .258 hitting effort.
Driving the offense yet again was the 1-2 punch of setters
Jenay Kocsis and
Jordyn Hoffman. Kocsis dished out 17 assists, while Hoffman set up 19 assists.

Capital also found success in the match from the service line. The team combined for nine service aces, including three each from Nahikian and
Miranda Jordan. Despite the success, Capital did also commit nine errors on serves.
Throughout the match, Capital used long runs to their advantage, including a 10-point lead in set two, to hold off the usually tough Wooster team. So far this season, Cap has been in close scoring sets, but has come out on the wrong end, and tonight, playing from in front, and with consistent runs of scoring for most of the match enabled them to close those sets out for the 3-1 victory.
Wooster was led by an 18-kill efforts from Hayley Nash. Syd Case controlled the offense with 41 assists, while Sydney Fitzcharles led the defensive effort with 18 digs.
Capital returns to the court on Saturday for a tri-match at OAC foe Ohio Northern. First, at 11 a.m. Capital will square off with the No. 12 ranked Polar Bears in their first conference match of the season. Next, Capital will take on Bluffton University in a non-conference match at 1 p.m.
