UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Capital University women's tennis team took an 8-1 loss on Friday evening against John Carroll University. The Crusaders are now 1-3 overall on the season.
The match began outdoors at the Mayfield Racquet Club where John Carroll (2-0) took all three doubles flights to jump out to a 3-0 lead. The Crusaders biggest challenge came on court one out of the duo of
Kelli Wright-Lovell and newcomer Maria Sadek. Wright-Lovell and Sadek lost in the top-flight bout, 8-6, to Megan Reese and Skye Harwood. Courts two and three went to JCU by 8-2 counts.

Capital's lone point came on court two on the singles circuit when Kelly Wright-Lovell defeated Alyssa Krupp 7-6 (7-4), 6-4. This marks her third singles win of the season.
Amy Wright-Lovell lost a tight two-setter, 7-6, 6-4, on court five and
