WESTERVILLE, Ohio -- The Ohio Athletic Conference announced the 2021 edition of their All-Conference teams on Monday morning. Featured on the list for Capital University are seniors Jack Blaisdell and Kameron Lee and junior Brady Kuhn. 

Jack Blaisdell was voted by the OAC coaches to the OAC Second Team while the coaches voted both Kameron Lee and Brady Kuhn to Honorable Mention accolades. 

All three student-athletes are receiving conference recognition, not for the first time in their careers. A season ago, both Blaisdell and Kuhn were tabbed Honorable Mention, while Lee was named All-Conference. (Note: Due to the nature of the spring 2021 shortened season, the OAC coaches voted for one All-Conference team last season instead of two teams) Blaisdell was also selected as an Honorable Mention selection in 2019. 

This season, this trio of players helped Capital to a 2-8 record overall. The Comets entered the season looking for their first win since the 2018 season and found it right away with a 41-7 drubbing of Defiance. They followed it up with a mid-season win over Ohio Northern by a final of 35-28. 

Blaisdell finished the season with 47 total tackles, including 32 solo stops. The defensive end made his name known to the conference by his innate ability to get in the opponent backfield and set their offense back. This season, Blaisdell had 19 tackles for a loss of 67 yards, which included 5.5 sacks for an astounding 37 yards worth of loss. Blaisdell also was credited with seven QB hurries this year. Additionally, he forced two fumbles and recovered one. His efforts during the week one win over Defiance led him to OAC Defensive Player of the Week honors. 

Lee was an all-around asset for the Comets this season as he was a go-to man in the passing game and was the team's punter. In the receiving game, Lee caught a team-high 35 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns. As a punter, Lee was summoned 60 times and booted the pigskin for a total of 2,212 yards, including a long of 58 yards. He had 13 punts fair caught, and 12 that pinned the opponent inside their own 20-yard line. In addition to his conference award, Lee was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team late last week for his combined efforts on the field and in the classroom. 

Kuhn was a journeyman across the offensive line as he found himself playing nearly every position across the front lines. Behind Kuhn's protection and his blocking ability, Capital rushed the ball for 1,089 yards and nine touchdowns, while passing for 1,839 yards and 17 more scores. As mentioned, Kuhn was also an Honorable Mention award winner last season.  

Both Blaisdell and Kuhn plan to return to Capital next season for another year with the team, while Lee will be graduating with his degree this spring.
