A three-goal second half performance from the Comets lifted them to a 3-0 win and their sixth shutout of the season. The aforementioned Frydl boasts three of those shutouts and has yet to concede a goal this season while taking his turn in the goalkeeper rotation.
Capital (7-3, 2-0 OAC) had the upper hand in the first half on total chances as they out-shot Heidelberg by a 7-4 margin. Heidelberg threatened greatly with their chances, finding themselves with clear-cut opportunities on the Capital net. Frydl was up to the task, keeping the Student Princes scoreless through halftime.

Despite the Berg (4-6-1, 0-1-1) threatening with a couple of good chances, Capital held on and eventually put the game out of reach by the 82nd minute with a pair of quick-fire goals. First,.
Majd Awad put a ball into
Sam Spirk just after a throw-in, where Spirk dispatched a strike to the high center of the goal -- his fourth goal of the year. The assist for Awad was his first of the season.
Things continued to escalate in favor of the Comets, just 34 seconds later. This time,
Jack Kossoudji dummied the ball at midfield and was the first to respond, finishing past Heidelberg goalie Sigurd Ilestad. The goal was Kossoudji's fourth of the campaign as well.
Now ahead by three goals, Capital cruised to the end of the game without further threat. By the final whistle, Frydl had accounted for three saves on the eight total shots he faced. On the other end, Ilestad was credited with four saves.
