Career Highlights
  • Entering her first season with Capital in 2022-23
Schyler Fennimore joined the Capital women's basketball coaching staff in August of 2022 and will begin her first season with the Comets in 2022-23. She is familiar with the OAC as she played four years with Muskingum University.

Fennimore is joining the Comets coaching staff after most recently serving as an assistant coach at Susquehanna University. While with the River Hawks, Schyler helped oversee academic progress of the team, coordinate recruiting visits and social media for the team, assist with fundraising efforts and composing graphics and highlights for recruiting purposes.

On the court, Fennimore assisted in the mentorship and player development of a 2022 All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year.  Additionally, she helped coach two All-Conference selections and oversee the academic progress of 14 Academic Honor Roll student-athletes. Furthermore, Schyler helped the team be named as a WBCA All-Academic Special Mention program both years she was with the River Hawks.

Prior to joining Susquehanna, Fennimore served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Bethany College. There, she assisted the program to qualify for the PAC Tournament in back-to-back seasons. With Bethany, she oversaw the recruitment of 16 student-athletes, while also aiding in numerous scouting, coaching, and administrative tasks.

Prior to kick starting her coaching career, Schyler played collegiate basketball at familiar OAC-foe Muskingum University. With the Muskies, Schyler was a four-year letter winner. While competing as a student-athlete, she also remained active off the court and completed two semesters of coaching practicum with both the women’s basketball and lacrosse teams. She also served as a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Additionally, she helped organize the One Love Foundation Game for both men’s and women’s lacrosse.

Professionally, Schyler has become an active member in the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, being a member of the organization since 2018. She has also participated in the WBCA Convention twice, once as an on-court demonstrator in 2018 and again as a participant in 2020.

Schyler completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from Muskingum in 2018 before going on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Teaching at Bethany in 2020.
